The 2DS is the entry-level version: no 3D effect, a more robust slate format, ideal for children or small budgets. The 3DS offers a clamshell (foldable) format and an adjustable 3D screen. Both run exactly the same games — no difference in the catalog.

The New 3DS XL is a newer version: better battery, slightly faster processor, and a rarer model on the market. In terms of games, no difference — both read exactly the same catalog. If you just want to play, both are identical. If you're looking for maximum battery life or a collector's model, go for the New 3DS XL.

The PS Vita is the direct successor to the PSP. It features a much better quality OLED screen, a dual analog stick (essential for certain games), superior power, and a more recent library. The PSP remains an excellent option if you are looking for the great classics (GTA, Monster Hunter, FIFA) at a more accessible price.

For a child, the 2DS is recommended: sturdy format without a fragile hinge, affordable price, and a huge family catalog (Pokémon, Mario, Animal Crossing). For a teen or beginner adult, the New 3DS XL offers the best comfort with its large screen and better battery. For someone who wants an all-in-one, the Switch V1 allows for playing both on the go and on the TV.

The content varies by console:

• 3DS / 2DS: The entire Pokémon saga (Game Boy → 3DS), Zelda, Mario, Animal Crossing, Inazuma Eleven — +90 games
• PSP / PS Vita: GTA, Minecraft, Assassin's Creed, Monster Hunter, Rayman, FIFA — complete library
• Switch V1: Switch games + emulators (SNES, GBA, N64, PS1) depending on the chosen capacity

The vast majority of Nintendo titles (Pokémon, Zelda, Mario, Animal Crossing, Inazuma Eleven) are entirely in French. Some older or niche games may be in English or Japanese. If the language is important to you, please specify it in the notes when placing your order and we will do our best.

The official Nintendo online services for the 3DS and 2DS closed in 2024, but local multiplayer (with other nearby consoles) works perfectly. The PS Vita and PSP also offer local gaming. The Switch V1 normally operates online via Nintendo Switch Online.
